The Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistants
The Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistants work includes:
- Monitoring of chronic diseases such as Coronary Heart Disease, Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Diabetes, Hypertension.
- New patient medicals, cervical smears, contraception advice, lifestyle advice, weight management, injections, travel health (not vaccinations, you will be referred to the Community Team).
- Phlebotomy (blood sampling)
