Telephone Advice and Consultations

Telephone Advice

Telephone Advice may include queries about a prescription, a test result, a hospital appointment, a referral, a form that needs to be completed or advice about a minor ailment. Please call and ask the receptionist who will be able to help you (All calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes).

Telephone Consultations with your Doctor or Nurse

When a patient calls and requests to speak to a GP or Nurse, the reception staff will check the availability of the GP/Nurse. If the GP/Nurse is available to speak to the patient that day, the receptionist will then take some information and be given a time slot when the GP/Nurse is available (All calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes).

Advice is also available from NHS 24 by telephoning 111 and from NHS Inform.

Telephone consultations are only available during surgery opening hours.
